Samburu
A drier reserve on the Ewaso Nyiro river in northern Kenya.
Samburu looks and feels different from the Mara. Animals people hope to see here include the reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, the Somali ostrich, the gerenuk, and the beisa oryx. Seeing each one still depends on the day.
It is a longer journey north from Nairobi than the Mara is south-west. The quotation should say whether the transfer is by road or by air.
