Day-by-day itinerary
- Day 1: Nairobi to the Maasai Mara Pickup at 07:00. Rift Valley viewpoint stop, about 5 to 6 hours to the Mara, lunch, game drive from 16:00 to sunset.
- Day 2: Full day in the Maasai Mara Out at 06:30 with a picnic breakfast and lunch. Lion, cheetah and the Mara River. Back at camp by sunset.
- Day 3: Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru Morning game drive, breakfast, then about 5 to 6 hours north to Lake Nakuru. Afternoon game drive in the rhino sanctuary.
- Day 4: Lake Nakuru and back to Nairobi Game drive from 06:30 to Baboon Cliff for the view over the lake and the flamingos. Breakfast, then about 3 hours to Nairobi, arriving around 14:00.

What you will see
Maasai Mara
Lion prides, cheetah on the open plain, leopard along the Talek and Mara rivers, elephant, buffalo, hippo and crocodile. From July to October the wildebeest and zebra herds of the Great Migration graze the reserve.
Lake Nakuru
White and black rhino inside a fenced sanctuary, Rothschild giraffe, lion, buffalo, and pink flamingos and pelicans along the shore.
Best time to go
Lake Nakuru is good all year. Pick your month for the Mara: January to March for value, July to October for the migration.
